The Bristol 192 Belvedere was a British twin-engine, tandem rotor helicopter designed by the Bristol Aeroplane Company. Entering service in the early 1960s, it was the Royal Air Force’s first twin-rotor helicopter. The Belvedere was initially developed for the Royal Navy as a transport and anti-submarine platform, but its role shifted to tactical transport after a decision was made to equip the RAF instead.
